Pavement Joints Date posted: 7/28/2010 A worker saw-cuts expansion joints in the new concrete pavement on the outer half of southbound I-476. After cutting, the joints are cleaned and then filled with a pliable material that will allow the concrete to expand and contract with the temperatures.
