Current Construction Activities

Listed here are the current ongoing construction activities on the bridges and on the roadway section of I-476

Summer 2010

On the Schuylkill River Bridges

• Northbound bridge completed.
• Construction completed on outside two lanes of southbound bridge.
• Build new deck on inside two lanes of southbound bridge.

 

On the I-476 Roadway between I-76 and Turnpike Interchange

• Complete reconstruction of outside half of southbound interstate.
• Complete resurfacing of outside half of southbound bridge decks.
• Continue sinkhole remediation in southbound shoulder, median
• Reconstruct shoulders on Ridge Pike at approach to I-476 overpass.
• Reconstruct ramps.
